Security Deposit
Each rental includes a $100 security deposit per costume, which is in addition to the total listed price.
We understand that light wear is a natural part of performance use and will not result in additional charges. However, damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional fees. In such cases, part or all of your deposit may be withheld to cover repair or replacement costs.
To help preserve the quality of our costumes, please follow these guidelines:
• Do not clean, wash, or launder the costume or accessories without prior approval from RTR.
• Do not eat, drink (other than water), or smoke while wearing the costume.
• Do not alter, pin, sew, glue, iron, or otherwise modify the costume in any way.
• Do not attach tape, badges, or stickers to any part of the costume.
• Do wear appropriate undergarments to protect the costume during use.
Deposit Refund Process:
1. If the costume and all accessories are returned on time, in their original condition, and properly packaged, a full refund of the deposit will be issued within 10 business days to the customer’s nominated account.
2. If any damage or missing items are noted, repair or replacement fees will be deducted from the deposit, and the remaining balance (if any) will be refunded within the same 10 business day window.

Cleaning
All costumes and accessories provided by RTR are thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and in excellent condition before being shipped or picked up.
Please do not attempt to clean, wash, or dry clean any costume or accessory yourself. This includes machine washing, hand washing, bleaching, tumble drying, or using any cleaning agents. Improper cleaning methods may cause damage and result in fees or loss of your deposit.
All items will be professionally and gently cleaned by our team upon return to maintain hygiene and preserve costume quality.
Alterations
RTR does not allow any alterations to costumes or accessories under any circumstances. This means you may not cut, dye, paint, or in any way modify the items. Additionally, no adhesives such as tape, glue, iron-on bonding, or bonding web may be used on any part of the costume.
All items must be returned in their original condition. If a costume is returned with any alterations or damage from unauthorized modifications, a fee will be applied and deducted from your security deposit.
Copyright Notice
All costumes provided by RTR are original designs created by some of the most respected costume creators in the US and are protected under U.S. copyright law. All rights remain the sole property of RTR. By renting a costume, you are granted the right to wear it for the rental period only.
You may not reproduce, replicate, or recreate any part of the costume design, in whole or in part. Unauthorized copying, duplication, or reproduction is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Damaged or Lost Costume Fees
At RTR, we understand that light wear is expected during use and will not result in extra charges. However, any damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional fees and may lead to partial or full forfeiture of your security deposit.
Examples of damage that will incur a Damage Fee include, but are not limited to:
• Broken zippers or closures
• Detached or torn garment pieces
• Permanent stains (e.g. makeup, ink, food)
• Any damage that makes the costume unfit for future rentals
The Damage Fee covers the cost of materials, professional cleaning, and labor required to restore the costume.
Severe damage—such as irreparable rips, burns, or staining that cannot be removed—will result in the full deposit being forfeited. The same applies to any costume returned with missing items or not returned by the rental end date.
If a costume is not returned, RTR reserves the right to charge the full retail value of the costume to the card on file. The replacement value is outlined in the signed rental contract and agreed upon at the time of purchase. Additional recovery efforts and fees may also apply. To avoid penalties, we strongly encourage prompt and proper returns of all rental items.
