Consign Your Costume
At Rent the Routine, consigning your pre-loved dance costumes is easy, profitable, and completely stress-free. We take care of everything—from reviewing your items to getting them rented or sold—so you can relax and earn money without the extra work. Here’s how the process works:
We offer a standard consignment model with a revenue split on each rental or purchase.
1. Submit Your Costume for Review:
Fill out our quick form with details about your costume to get started.
2. Ship to Us:
Once approved, send us your costume, and we’ll take it from there.
3. Quality Review & Listing:
When your costume arrives, we carefully inspect it, photograph it, and list it for sale on our platform.
4. Earn When It Sells OR Rents:
After your costume sells, you’ll earn a commission based on the final sale price:
- Costumes $300 and above: 80% of the sale price
- Costumes $200–$300: 70% of the sale price
- Costumes $100–$200: 60% of the sale price
- Costumes under $100: 50% of the sale price

Rentals: Each time your costume is rented out, you’ll earn 50% of the rental price!

We’re currently accepting:
- Solos, duets, and small group pieces
- Costumes in excellent condition only
- High-end, custom, and unique designs that stand out on stage
**Note that commission earned is based on total profit (minus costs of shipping, cleaning etc)
